of narrative nonfiction, as writer, editor, speaker, teacher and consultant. Narrative nonfiction brings the credibility of the candid personal voice
to engaging explorations of the everyday world. It may be the only nonfiction genre that invites mass audiences to apply the whole range of personal realization to complex public topics. 

My master classes, campus visits and consultations have assisted many writers, universities, publishers, and media organizations in defining and deploying their strengths more effectively, and focusing and revising projects and programs. I’ve helped many writers to craft and publish fine books and articles, universities to strengthen their narrative offerings, and media groups to sharpen structures and to conceive, staff and deliver improved narrative work.
